A Small Trip To Lucknow To explore the Cuisines Of The Nawabs!

There are no other foods available in India which tastes better than Biriyani. The awesome taste of the of this dish keeps me hooked like millions of other people of the country. So, I had to visit the city named Lucknow, which is the birthplace of this excellent food. Lucknow is a famous historic city of North India. The places like Residency, Bara Immambara, Bhul Bhulaiya, Chota Imambara still tell the tales of the glorious history. Yet, for the foodies like us, the Awadhi Cuisine is the main attraction of this place.

As I had a chance to visit the city named Lucknow, the first though I had that finally I could visit the place which had the inception of the amazing Awadhi Cuisines and Biriyani. There are options of travel modes are available to complete the journey from Delhi to Lucknow. The trip to the city of Nawabs had to be of royal style. The Mumbai to Lucknow flights are regular, thus I could travel in style. For my trip to the city of Nawabs, I had chosen the Vistara Airlines. The availability of flights was not a problem, as the flights were enough for matching the demand of the passengers.

Travelling to the city of Nawabs

There are many options for travel between the cities of Mumbai and Lucknow.  I could take a train to travel between the two cities. The train between the two cities normally takes more than one day. As it was an official visit, I did not have enough time for traveling. Thus, I had to take a flight to travel the same distance. The flight between Mumbai and Lucknow had taken more than 2 hours.

Vistara Airlines is the airlines of the Tata Group, thus it had given me all the facilities at a very reasonable price. The flight was comfortable and relaxing. I liked the light refreshments served on board. I had to take the morning flight to Lucknow for my conference, which had left around 8:50 am in the morning. The meeting was scheduled around 12 pm in the noon. So, I could reach in the event with enough spare time.

The amazing cuisines of Lucknow

As it was a flying visit to attend the meeting, I didn’t get enough time to enjoy the city. Instead, I enjoyed the awesome Awadhi cuisine which was the specialty of the city of Lucknow.  The best parts of this cuisine are

• The original Biriyani of Lucknow tastes different than the rest of the country. The Awadhi Cuisine tastes very special.  
• The cuisines of Lucknow cannot be imagined without Kebabs. Among the entire kebab platter, I liked the Kakori Kabab most. Kakori Kabab is one of the specialties of the Awadhi Cuisine.

For the lack of time during this visit, I could only enjoy the cuisines of the city. I would definitely like to come back to Lucknow again to check out the amazing places along with more Awadhi cuisine.
